Heather Summers  ONE WOMAN SHOW

This is a very original, astonishingly big sound from 
one woman with a bagful of tricks, talent and attitude. 
Prepare to be delighted, intrigued, amused & challenged! 
The wonderfully talented Heather Summers draws on her classical, folk contemporary and world music background, to create dynamic, exciting material ranging from original rap style numbers, to her own arrangements of driving world folk tunes and original instrumental compositions. 

But this is not just a one-woman show; 
it's also a one-woman band. 

With the use of a clever bit of technology, before your eyes and ears, she layers up whole sound-scopes using a variety of instruments - eclectic Cajon grooves, soaring violin or fiery fiddle, with quirky harmonic flute & percussion that includes alarm clock, hand claps and mouth sounds. And that's before she even opens her mouth. There is never a dull moment, & you may well find you just have to get up and dance.

Ruthie was born in Leicester in August 1984. She grew up in a village called Enderby. When she finished studying at school she was awarded a scholarship at the Midland Academy of Dance and Drama in Musical Theatre.
She then went on to gain a Higher National Diploma in Performance Art at DeMontfort University. She has also been vocally trained by Singing coach Gregora Rafilio & Singer/Song Writer Klara Kjellen. 
Since graduating, Ruthie has worked as a vocalist, production vocalist, backing singer and singer/dancer.
She returned to the UK at the beginning of Feb 2009 after working for Micha Berguese Production company as the lead female production vocalist onboard Ocean Village Two Cruise Ship around the Western Mediterranean and Eastern Caribbean. Here she performed in an Abba Tribute Show, 4 other production shows, and an open air aerial spectacular choreographed by Luch Panchurst, Barbara Evan and Adrian Allsopp.

Elka Kerkhofs, award winning Belgian/Australian artist, is a filmmaker, writer, director, animator and video artist. Elka has a Masters in Visual Arts (Photography), a Diploma in Contemporary Music and in 2008 she completed her Masters in Animation at the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne, Australia, with her film ‘LASH’, which was awarded Best Graduating VCA Film 2008 and Best Masters Animation Film. 
Her previous animation ‘FILLED WITH WATER’ was highly regarded and selected to screen at 53 local and international film festivals winning nominations and awards around the world.

LASH

Celina falls in the water. “What if you live your whole life in one day and that day is today?”. A cocoon grows around her and she is born inside an old wooden shack. She meditates and tries to reconnect with her memory. When her mind opens she sees a dead body washed up on the beach. She moves in and hears the body whispering a poetic language, which draws her closer. By her touch she travels on a journey through her green eye and sees into another lifetime where this woman was her lover, but they were persecuted on the cross and burnt at the stake for their love. By her second touch she sees into another lifetime where this woman was her lover again, 
but now time and placehas changed. Again they get punished for their love. While Celina gets hung, Olisa gets stoned to death after which her body sinks away through the soil into the ocean where she drifts to shore. 

 The green eye drops a lash and tears run out of Celina’s hand on the beach. She embraces Olisa’s dead body and their energies merge. “One day, until then, ….my love”! They now have a chance to heal the past and find peace.

Filled With Water

 This is a story about Anoka who lives in a city where the streets are cluttered with sculptures and the beaches are filled with dog statues. Anoka feels a deep emptiness in the world around her. Everyday she takes herself to the beach as if this is her only existence. She skates her way through the only life she knows. Until one day she walks into a large TV and for the first time her heart glows red for the ballerina within the screen. Anoka finds her way into the TV and immerses herself in the ballerina’s world sharing her heart and falling in love. They dance and blend together as one and get flooded by hundreds of roses. Then after a very passionate kiss a transformation takes place and she can only watch in disbelieve. The ballerina changes in a bottle of wine and the roses change into glasses filled with red wine. The bottle falls over and crashes all the glasses and the TV screen and breaks in the lifeless world she once knew. She realizes that the love she is looking for has been inside and around her all along and at
